I. Programmes during the month

  • Surgery screening camps were conducted in 2 villages. 250 Patients were screened and treated accordingly.
  • Internship students of Operation Theater Technicians and Medical Laboratory Technicians are undergoing traninings in various hospitals and Laboratories.

 

II. Case Study – 1

Karuppayee, 55 years old belongs to a small village which is 25 Kilometers away from Salem City. She had been suffering from abdominal pain and extended stomach for more than a year. She had been treated in a local hospital symtomatically and finally diagnosed as cancer in Ovary. Her husband is working as a labour in a spinning mill. She had spent a lot for the treatment. Finally she was admitted in Sharon Hospital. She is being treated under government health insurance programme. She receives chemotherapy and feels better now. Let us pray for her.

Case Study – 2

Sekar 49 years old man belongs to a small village which is 45 kilometers away from Salem City. He is working as a farm labour and struggles for daily bread. He has to feed his wife and 3 children with his meager income.He had been suffering from painful urination. After clinical diagnosis it was diagnosed as cancer in urinary tract. He had received treatment from Government Hospital for one year and discontinued the same.

He had severe pain a month ago and admitted in Sharon Hospital for treatment. Now he receives Radiation Therapy treatment. Let us pray for him.
