On February 25, 1994, the India Gospel League formalized an integral part of its medical outreach by registering the Sharon Medical and Charitable Trust under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882. It is led by Rev. Samuel D. Stephens.
This trust aims to provide quality medical care through the Sharon Cancer Center and General Hospital (SCC & GH) and the Sharon Diagnostic Center.
As one of only 10 cancer centers in the country, the Sharon Cancer Center (SCC) offers comprehensive cancer treatment for those in and around Salem who are living below the poverty line.
